Here's to a start-
I've been meaning to do this for over a year now, been wanting to write about pregnancy and birth, milestones and the months thereafter. But between having a baby and being overwhelmed by everything that it entails, time just flew by so quickly and continues to do so at an even faster pace, before I could do anything. And now, my little boy K is 13 months old!
A year since he came into my life and brought with him a whole lot of changes, especially for me. He is growing in his own way, developing some traits and seems to have a personality for himself already, atleast that is what I think and doing things and reaching milestones at his own pace. I keep looking at his pictures since birth and revel in the changes in him over the months. When people tell me that his baby face is gone and he looks more like a toddler now, it is a bitter sweet feeling that I experience.
But, the joys of motherhood come with all the work that go with it, as well. I am sure that every mom/parent have their challenges cut out for them, mine being that I have an infant who doesn't sleep thro the night, not that he is a great napper during the day, either. I've also learnt from my experience, that children are like animals in many ways, you train them the right way and they will model that training. If my son doesn't sleep thro the night, it is because, I haven't figured out or found out the right way to get him to sleep. A stack of books about sleep training borrowed from the library sit at home and it seems to be so hard to implement anything (a separate post on that will follow).
I will do my best to pen my thoughts on an ongoing basis, until then...
